How Do You Brew?

How Do You Brew?

If you've decided to start brewing your own coffee to cut costs, avoid the public, or to just fill your home with that tantalizing aroma, we're here to help! Answer the questions below and use our helpful chart at the end to help guide your purchasing process.

How much are you brewing?

A labor intensive brew process isn't going to be practical if you're making coffee for a full family every morning!

On the flip side, Mr. Coffee isn't really designed to brew just one cup. You could definitely brew one big pot and drink throughout the day, but your quality will decrease, especially if you keep the coffee on a hot plate or reheat it in the microwave.

What effort are you willing to make?

Would you rather put coffee and water into a machine and then leave it be, or  do you prefer to slowly hand pour water over coffee beans?

How do you want your coffee to taste?

A metal filter will let more oils through, making the coffee feel fuller and slicker, though it leaves a bit of griminess at the end of your cup. A paper filter will yield a cleaner cup but the body will feel lighter making it easier to perceive acidity and the more gentle flavors.
